About the Role
We’re seeking a skilled Estimator who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll join an experienced pre-construction team, managing multiple tenders across commercial fitouts, refurbishments, and new build projects.
This is a hands-on estimating role where you’ll take full ownership of the estimating process, while also providing mentorship to assistants and cadets.
The role is diverse, rewarding, and offers clear progression opportunities for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates across commercial fitout and construction projects
- Compile tender submissions for both Design & Construct and fully documented projects
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Provide value engineering solutions, alternative methodologies, and buildability advice
- Draft detailed scopes of work and assist in preparing compelling fee proposals
- Collaborate with delivery teams to develop construction methodology plans
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience estimating for a commercial builder, ideally in the fitout/interiors sector
- Proficiency with CostX, EstimateOne, and advanced MS Excel
- Strong understanding of QLD subcontractor market
