Dairy Cattle Farm Operator

Riverslea Farms requires an experienced and reliable Dairy Cattle Farm Operator to work on its dairy farm.

Task & responsibilities

• Operate milking plant and equipment.
• Identify and report equipment not operating normally.
• Work co-operatively as part of a team.
• Read and record instrument information.
• Understands the principles of safe working.
• Undertake multiple functions, produce a quality outcome e.g. farm machinery.
• Maintain machinery, undertake adjustments and size changes
• Know general scientific terminology related to farming
• Operate computerised systems 
• Contribute to the team
• Work at times without supervision

Qualification & experience

At least one year of dairy related work experience or a Certificate II level qualification. 

• Previous experience working on a dairy farm, preferably one or two years or a Certificate II or III in a dairy related qualification 
• Familiarity with dairy farming practices and principles
• Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• Organisational and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and leadership abilities
• Valid driver's license needed
