As a Cook at Smokin Joe's Pizza & Grill - Kilmore, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes that reflect our authentic menu while maintaining excellent standards of food safety and hygiene. You will work closely with our Head Chef and kitchen team to deliver a memorable dining experience to our guests.

Task & responsibilities

Prepare, season, and cook a wide variety of Italian-inspired dishes in line with restaurant standards

•    Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of food served

•    Monitor food preparation processes and maintain kitchen hygiene and safety standards

•    Assist in stock control, ordering, and managing inventory

•    Collaborate with the Head Chef in menu planning and daily specials

•    Train and supervise kitchen assistants and apprentices when required

•    Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and workplace health standards

Qualification & experience

Diploma of Hospitality Management (or equivalent) is highly regarded

•    Minimum 1 years of relevant full-time work experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen

•    Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and preparation techniques preferred

•    Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

•    Strong teamwork, communication, and organisational skills

•    Commitment to maintaining food quality, safety, and hygiene standards
