As Tracey Brunstrom & Hammond Pty. Ltd. (TBH) continues to grow, we have a great opportunity for an experienced Consultant – Project Administrator to join our team in Melbourne.

As a Consultant - Project Administrator, you will provide the knowledge, technical and professional skill and support to specific projects as assigned.

Task & responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Plans and undertakes administration of organisational programs, special projects and support services.
  • Actively add value to the execution of project plans. Provide support as directed by team leaders to the specific projects as assigned.
  • Create strong relationships with team members and client, demonstrating professionalism and effective communication.
  • Review, interpret and analyse data from various records and present findings in various formats based on project requirements to enhance decision making processes. 
  • Monitor and optimise project schedules using relevant programs such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project for various projects.
  • Conduct cost analysis to ensure financial compliance and effective cost control.
  • Estimate and maintain accurate construction cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with project managers and the team for the preparation of deliverables for client submissions, including completing analysis, writing reports and preparing any other project outputs. 
  • Monitor changes to designs, assessing effects on time and cost, and measuring, value variations to scope of works. 
  • Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously while also collaborating effectively with team members on technical work.
  • Study drawings and specifications to estimate quantities, production rates and costs.
  • Provide clear written and verbal communication with senior team members, providing updates and insights to facilitate informed decision-making to project manager.
  • Preparing program and project controls reports and submissions as required on various projects. 
  • Responding to inquiries and resolving issues identified by clients based on the various outputs prepared on various projects.
  • Support team members in identifying value-added opportunities and process improvements, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of project delivery and TBH administrative requirements.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and quality standards during the preparation of documents, conducting thorough checks to ensure factual correctness and minimize errors for team members and clients.
  • Contribute to innovative projects through research and development initiatives, actively engaging in the exploration of new methodologies and practices.
  • Adhere to health and safe working conditions within TBH offices and external places where TBH conducts business.
  • Comply with TBH policies, requirements of TBH IMS and delegations of authority.
  • Follow quality and OHSE procedures in accordance with the TBH Integrated Management System.
  • Accountable for the ongoing building of technical capability through formal training, mentoring and on-the-job training.
  • Participate in the company’s training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge, fostering your professional growth and career advancement.
  • Consistently demonstrate and promote TBH’s values in all interactions, contributing to a positive and inclusive workplace culture
  • Comply with TBH operational processes including completing weekly timesheets.

Qualification & experience

What you’ll bring

As our successful candidate you'll bring:

  • Qualifications – minimum of Bachelor's degree in relevant field, such as Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Architecture or Quantity Surveying.
  • Minimum of 1 year (or 3 years without a formal qualification) of relevant experience in similar role.
  • Actively engage in diverse TBH service offerings, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to a deep understanding of our comprehensive project solutions.
  • Demonstrate skills of technical software used by TBH.
  • Problem solving skills (deductive & inductive reasoning), demonstrates initiative and willingness to identify new and innovative solutions, being able to communicate and explain approach.
  • Awareness and knowledge of project management and project controls principles.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professional ethics in both works completed and in the way communication across all channels.
  • Proactively request regular feedback.
  • Apply critical thinking approach to problem solving on tasks and/or projects.
  • Demonstrate dedication to project deliverables.
