We are seeking a dedicated Consultant/Specialist Intensive Care/ICU to join a Critical Care team on a part-time basis (40hrs per fortnight) and make a meaningful impact in regional Victoria.
MUST have current AHPRA registration

Reporting to the Clinical Director of Intensive Care, you will:
Provide high-level routine and on-call specialist ICU servicesDeliver clinical leadership in collaboration with the Nurse Unit ManagerMentor and supervise junior medical staff and traineesParticipate in strategic planning, clinical governance, and service improvement initiatives
About the Unit
The Critical Care Unit is a Level II Adult ICU and has limited capacity for paediatric patients with multi-organ support.
The Unit Is Staffed And Equipped To Provide Multi-organ Support For Patients With Life-threatening Illnesses, Injuries And Complications, And Monitoring Of Potentially Life-threatening Conditions. The Therapies That Can Be Provided In The Critical Care Unit Include But Are Not Limited To
Airway ManagementMechanical VentilationVasoactive InfusionsRenal replacement therapyTherapeutic plasma exchangeTransvenous pacingProcedural sedationInsertion of central venous access devices (including dialysis catheters)
The unit has 10 physical bed spaces that are all fully enclosed. The number of open and staffed beds in the unit depends on the mix of ICU, HDU, and ward-suitable patients, calculated as ICU equivalents. The GV Health Critical Care Unit is funded to provide five (5) ICU equivalent beds.
About You
Fellowship with CICM or equivalent and Specialist registration with AHPRADemonstrated experience in delivering high-acuity ICU careStrong leadership, collaboration, and teaching skillsCommitment to continuous improvement and excellence in regional health
