Construction Project Manager

As a Construction Project Manager in our Commercial Division, you will plan, organise, direct, and coordinate the construction of complex commercial pool and aquatic centre projects. The role involves overseeing budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure projects are delivered to scope, within budget, and on time. You will work closely with and report to the Senior Construction Project Manager, while managing multiple concurrent projects and liaising with Tier 1 and Tier 2 builders, subcontractors, and consultants.

Task & responsibilities

• Interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.
• Negotiating with Tier 1 and Tier 2 builders, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Planning construction methods and procedures for commercial projects.
• Coordinating the supply of labour, equipment, and materials.
• Supervising site operations and ensuring quality, cost, and time objectives are met.
• Monitoring adherence to building standards, codes, and safety regulations.
• Preparing project progress reports and liaising with stakeholders.
• Managing budgets, contracts, risk assessments, and reporting to senior management.
• Identifying risks and implementing control measures.
• Liaising with architects, engineers, and stakeholders throughout all stages of projects.

Qualification & experience

• Demonstrated ability to deliver multiple concurrent projects within budget and timelines.
• Proven ability to work with Tier 1 and Tier 2 builders in a dynamic commercial construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of Australian building codes, standards, and WHS requirements.
• Proven leadership, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in aquatic centre or specialised commercial construction is highly regarded.
