The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Clinical Nurses (Acute Care Team) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Utilise skills and knowledge commensurate to a Clinical Nurse working within the Mental health service
- Coordinate the treatment planning, interventions, implementation and evaluation of therapeutic programs and support services
- Work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team to provide integration and coordination between different sites or programs
- Contribute to the clinical education of students and other less experienced staff in consultation with the support of senior clinical staff
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A Bachelor of Nursing
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Credentialed through the College of Mental Health Nurses (or be prepared to work towards a credential in Mental Health Nursing)
- A graduate certificate or greater within a relevant specialty area is highly desirable
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time and permanent part time (two positions, hrs negotiable)
- Base salary ranging from $107 960 - $115 604 per annum, $54.44 - $58.30 per hour

The Acute Community mental health (ACMH) service line forms part of the broader Mental health and Specialist service (MHSS) and seeks to promote an integrated specialized mental health assessment and treatment service that is consumer focused and recovery oriented. The services operate 7 days a week, 24 hours a day across a variety of settings.
