Task & responsibilities
- Prepare, season and cook menu items with a focus on quality & consistency
- Assist in the preparation of mise en place, ensuring readiness for service
- Maintain high standards of food presentation and plate consistency
- Monitor stock rotation, minimise wastage and assist with inventory management
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring a clean and efficient kitchen at all times
- Work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen team members to deliver smooth, timely service.
Qualification & experience
- Degree in commercial cookery (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Cook in fine dining or premium restaurants.
- Solid understanding of French or European cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A true team player with energy, reliability and a passion for food.
