The Waves Club Caloundra is nearing the completion stages of its Multi-Million Dollar Master Plan. We have now opened our new bar, bistro, coffee shop and sports lounge, offering our members, guests, and the community a unique offering right in the heart of Caloundra. With these stages now open we are experiencing exponential growth and require the services of talented Chefs / Cooks to join our catering team.

The Waves Club Caloundra is going to be a vibrant community hub, and with our new renovations, we’re ready to offer an even better experience to our guests. We are passionate about delivering exceptional service and creating a welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

Position Overview: We are seeking experienced and talented Chefs/Cooks to join our team at The Waves Club Caloundra. We offer exciting opportunities in casual, part-time, and full-time (38 hours per week) roles. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our customers.

The Waves employs over 100 staff, has over 95,000 members, and is affiliated with 16 sporting and social sub-clubs.

Key Responsibilities

·         Preparing, cooking and plating a variety of delicious meals from our menu.

·         Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.

·         Ensure adherence to compliance and safety standards

·         Collaborating with the front-of-house team to ensure a seamless dining experience for our customers.

·         Providing exceptional customer service and contributing to a positive work environment.

Requirements:

·         Proven experience as a Chef/Cook, preferably in a fast-paced bistro environment.

·         Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation.

·         Excellent time management and multitasking skills.

·         Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.

·         Passion for creating delicious, high-quality meals.

·         Current Food Safety Supervisor certification (or willingness to obtain).

·         Availability to work flexible hours to suit the needs of a hospitality business including days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

·         Must be eligible to gain a National Police Certificate for employment.
