Sankranti Restaurant is currently in search of experienced and qualified Cook and Chef for full-time positions to join the team and provide exceptional meals to the customers. A Chef or Cook in our Indian restaurant is responsible for preparing authentic, flavourful Indian dishes with skill and creativity. They maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation while supporting smooth kitchen operations. Chefs may lead the team and introduce innovative recipes, while Cooks focus on consistent, day-to-day meal preparations. Both roles demand the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver outstanding dining experiences. A passion for Indian cuisine and strong attention to detail are essential to excel in these positions.
Salary range : $76,000-$80,000 per Annum+ Superannuation
Chef Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and cook dishes for restaurant or catering services.
Design menus, manage food inventory, and control costs.
Ensure strict adherence to food quality, hygiene, and safety standards.
Lead and supervise kitchen staff, providing training and demonstrating cooking techniques.
Thrive in fast-paced settings while delivering outstanding dining experiences.
Create new recipes and maintain smooth kitchen operations.
Cook Responsibilities:
Assist with daily meal preparation under the direction of the chef.
Prepare and cook meals for restaurant or catering services.
Work efficiently in busy environments while ensuring excellent dining experiences.
Uphold high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety.
