We are seeking an experienced and motivated Full Time Chef to join Logan & Albert Hotel, we are looking for people who have a passion for the culinary landscape and showcasing our wonderful produce in an authentic way. This role will provide diversity across services, collaborations and events working alongside likeminded chefs who challenge each other to grow as a team. In this hands-on leadership role, you will support the Head Chef in overseeing day-to-day kitchen operations, managing service, and driving consistency in food quality and presentation. You will play a key role in mentoring junior chefs, improving kitchen procedures, and contributing to a strong and respectful kitchen culture. The ideal candidate will bring a calm, professional approach and a passion for delivering high-quality dining experiences.

Task & responsibilities
- Menu Planning: Developing menus, creating new dishes, and designing specials.
- Food Preparation & Cooking: Preparing, seasoning, and cooking a variety of food items, including soups, salads, meats, vegetables, and desserts.
- Staff Management: Leading, supervising, and training other kitchen staff, including line cooks, sous chefs, and dishwashers.
- Quality Control: Ensuring all food meets high standards for taste, presentation, and quality from preparation to serving.
- Kitchen Operations: Managing daily kitchen activities, monitoring sanitation practices, and ensuring compliance with health codes and regulations.
- Inventory & Costing: Ordering supplies, managing food provisions, tracking inventory, and contributing to food cost management.
- Equipment Maintenance: Arranging for equipment purchases and repairs, and inspecting work areas for cleanliness and functionality.
- Creativity & Innovation: Demonstrating culinary expertise and creativity to develop unique and appealing dishes.
Qualification & experience
- Minimum 12 months experience in a similar role
- Experience in Larder Section, Pans Section, Prepping
- A great work ethic, and a calm, presence in the kitchen
- Passion for food, flavor, and consistency
