Are you passionate about cooking? We are looking for a skilled Chef to join our vibrant kitchen team at the new acquisition to our group of Hotels that includes bistros and restaurants.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Chef to join our kitchen team and assist in ensuring the kitchen is productive and runs seamlessly. Your key responsibilities for the role include:
Prepare and serve a range of meals / dishes according to an a la carter menu using a range of skills and techniques.
Fulfils their part to ensure consistency all stages of preparation, presentation and portion control.
Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering and inventory.
Have input into the planning of menus and cooking procedures
Work efficiently
Keep a clean, organised and compliant kitchen environment.
Positively communicating with the kitchen and food & beverage team
Maintain the highest standards of workplace safety.
Availability and flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, public holidays and split shifts.
At least 12 months experience in a chef role, in an a la carte or similar environment
Certificate III, IV in Commercial Cookery qualification and Diploma of Hospitality
Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Committed to delivering excellent customer service
Attention to detail, well organised and a good communicator
Work well with others and thrives in a fast paced team environment
Ability to perform physical requirements of the role, eg working on your feet & in a hot environment
Must be eligible to work in Australia with full-time work rights.
