Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of Modern Australian dishes with a bit of Mediterranean and Asian influences.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.
  • Manage kitchen operations including stock rotation, ordering, and waste minimisation.
  • Ensure strict compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Support and mentor junior kitchen staff.
  • Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials.

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a Chef role (café/restaurant experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Modern Australian cuisine with an interest in Mediterranean and Asian flavours.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Passion for food, teamwork, and innovation.
