Anuragh Investment Pty Ltd t/as Awesome Bar & Grill is a vibrant Nepalese restaurant located in the heart of Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. We specialise in authentic Nepalese cuisine, offering traditional flavours with a modern twist in a lively and welcoming atmosphere.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef with strong expertise in Nepalese cuisine to join our dynamic team.

Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 per annum (plus superannuation)

Task & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook authentic Nepalese dishes in accordance with our menu and cultural standards.
• Assist in menu planning, development, and seasonal updates with innovative Nepalese dishes.
• Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure consistent food preparation.
• Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage food costs effectively.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and workplace health & safety standards.

Qualification & experience

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ full-time experience as a Chef (experience with Nepalese or South Asian cuisine highly desirable).
• Formal culinary qualifications (Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong understanding of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and stock control.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work on weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required.
• Excellent teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.
