Task & responsibilities

  • Menu Development and Food Preparation:
  • Design and update menus using seasonal and fresh ingredients.
  • Prepare dishes that meet quality and presentation standards.
  • Operational Excellence:
  • Ensure smooth daily kitchen operations.
  • Manage food costs and minimise waste while maintaining quality.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff.
  • Schedule staff shifts and ensure coverage during busy times.
  • Customer Engagement and Quality Control:
  • Taste-test dishes to ensure consistency and excellence.
  • Incorporate feedback to refine dishes and service quality.
  • Inventory and Supplier Management:
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure timely procurement of ingredients.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers for optimal quality and cost.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated with industry trends and introduce innovative ideas to enhance the menu and dining experience.

Qualification & experience

● Certificate iv in Commercial cookery or a related field is preferred.

Work Experience Required:

● Minimum of 1 year of experience as a chef.

● Experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments are highly desirable.
