Aussie Ribs, is a well-known restaurant and is currently looking to hire a full-time Chef in our Ascot location. We are seeking an energetic and hardworking individual to join our team. If you're passionate about creating delicious food and providing excellent service to our guests, we want to hear from you. As a Chef you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation to ensure that our dishes consistently meet our high standards of quality. Task & responsibilities

  • Organize the kitchen daily, ensuring all essential cooking utensils and equipment are in place for smooth operations.
  • Promptly execute dish preparation, overseeing final presentation and delivery to patrons to maintain high service standards.
  • Regularly monitor food stock levels, place orders, and manage stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
  • Lead in developing new and seasonal recipes for dishes and beverages, estimating costs to support menu development.
  • Maintain vigilance in checking food items for freshness, promptly removing any expired items to comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards are impeccable, including rigorous food handling practices and equipment maintenance.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance as needed to uphold performance and professionalism.
  • Manage email inquiries, conduct research for sourcing new suppliers, and maintain accurate records of stock takes and incident reports.
  • Monitor the kitchen's condition, promptly reporting maintenance needs to the owner and overseeing repairs as required.
  • Develop seasonal menus and handle ingredient sourcing.
  • Conduct stock takes and manage ordering processes.

Qualification & experience

  • Minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment with diverse operations.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanour when interacting with colleagues and customers.
  • Versatile and hardworking individual with a practical, hands-on approach, dedicated to achieving optimal results.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of workplace policies and procedures.
