CHEF

About the role

We are seeking an experienced chef to join our team on a full-time basis with a passion for creating authentic and flavourful Indian cuisine, including curries and tandoori dishes. As a chef in a fine dining Indian restaurant, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our customers. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and cooking a variety of authentic Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori specialties, and other traditional offerings
• Ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
• Providing guidance and mentorship to junior members of the kitchen staff
• Participating in menu planning and contributing to the overall culinary vision of the restaurant
• Handle food preservation processes, including freezing and storing ingredients to maintain freshness and minimise waste. 
• Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation. 

Qualifications & Skills:

• AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (minimum)
• Minimum 1 year of experience.
• Possess a positive attitude and work well with other team members
• Good interpersonal and communication skills;
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
