The Rocklea Hotel and Normanby Hotel currently have a position for a dynamic and passionate Chef to join our experienced kitchen teams. This position is permanent and full-time. One role is based in Rocklea, the other Red Hill, QLD.
Operating 7 days for lunch and dinner, the Hotels menu reflects the contemporary nature of Brisbane's dining scene and utilises fresh, local and premium produce from around Australia and abroad. The existing brigade are highly motivated and experienced. The ideal candidate will have Australian trade or equivalent qualifications and will have previous experience of a large, fast paced kitchen.
The ideal candidate would have the following criteria:
- At least 2 years of experience and a relevant qualification of Certificate IV Kitchen Management
- An understanding of kitchen procedures such as ordering, stock control, OH&S, environmental health, and safe food handling practices
- Excellent communication and great team player
- Have high quality assurance standard; and
- More importantly, the successful person will enjoy cooking, and being part of an energetic, passionate group of people who enjoy the hospitality industry
