We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Chef to join Ayam Penyet Ria South Melbourne. The expected start date for this position is as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

● Develop and implement innovative menus that showcase your culinary expertise and align with the restaurant's brand and target customer base

● Manage all food production activities, ensuring consistent high-quality dishes are delivered in a timely manner

● Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety and food hygiene regulations

● Oversee the procurement of ingredients and manage food costs to maximise profitability

● Lead, train and mentor a team of talented kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment

● Manage kitchen operations, including rostering, ordering and stock control.

Requirements:

● Has at least Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery / Kitchen Management

● Having a Diploma of Hospitality Management is an advantage

● Has at least 1-year experience as a Chef in a similar setting or a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.

● Passion for Indonesian food and a sharp eye for maintaining high standards.

● Strong financial acumen in managing food costs and budgets without compromising quality.

● A natural leader who can develop and inspire a diverse team.

● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

● Passion for creating innovative and high-quality dishes.

● Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required.
