Building Associate

We are currently seeking an experienced Building Associate to support the successful delivery of commercial construction projects. This role focuses on site coordination, contractor management, and ensuring that all works are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard. The Building Associate works closely with the Director and tradespeople to manage daily site operations and maintain workflow, compliance, and communication across all project stakeholders.

Task & responsibilities

•    Coordinate and supervise day-to-day activities across active construction sites

•    Manage subcontractors and suppliers, including labour scheduling and material deliveries

•    Monitor and report on project progress to the Director

•    Ensure compliance with WHS regulations and site safety protocols

•    Oversee site setup and support seamless workflow across trades

•    Interpret and work from architectural, structural, and services plans

•    Identify and proactively resolve on-site issues

•    Maintain quality control in both façade works and high-end interior fit-outs

•    Assist with managing site documentation and compliance records

Qualification & experience

•    Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial construction

•    Proven experience in commercial interior fit-outs and façade systems (e.g., cladding)

•    Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate on-site construction teams

•    Trade qualification in carpentry or a construction-related field (desirable)

•    White Card and valid driver’s licence required
