An established facilities management and commercial cleaning business in New South Wales is looking for a qualified and experienced Human Resource Adviser to join its team on a full-time basis.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will provide professional HR advice to the Directors, managers and employees. They will develop and implement HR policies, manage recruitment and employee relations, and ensure compliance with the Fair Work Act 2009, the National Employment Standards, the Cleaning Services Award 2020 and WHS legislation across a multi-site workforce.

Task & responsibilities
- Developing, reviewing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Advising managers on recruitment strategies, selection processes and workforce planning for client sites.
- Interviewing applicants, conducting reference checks and recommending appointments.
- Designing and coordinating induction, training and performance management programs.
- Interpreting Modern Awards and employment conditions, and advising on correct classifications and entitlements.
- Managing employee relations matters, including grievances, investigations, disciplinary processes and dispute resolution.
- Monitoring compliance with the Fair Work Act 2009, employment law and WHS obligations, and recommending corrective actions.
- Analysing turnover, absenteeism and workforce data, and preparing reports for the Directors.
- Advising on remuneration structures, salary benchmarking and employee benefits.
- Supervising the HR Administrator and liaising with the Fair Work Ombudsman, recruitment agencies and training providers.
Qualification & experience
- A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Human Resource Management, Business (HR major), Industrial Relations or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Human Resource Adviser or in a similar HR role.
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations, recruitment and HR policy development.
- Sound knowledge of the Fair Work Act 2009, the National Employment Standards and Modern Awards.
- Experience in the cleaning, facilities management or service industry is highly regarded.
- Strong investigation, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyse HR data and prepare reports for senior management.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Sound understanding of WHS obligations and workplace compliance.
