Billee's Chocolate is seeking a passionate Retail Manager to lead our Sydney Factory Outlet. You will oversee daily operations, manage store budgets, track inventory, and lead a dedicated team to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities include advising customers on product allergens and storage, assisting management with seasonal pricing strategies, and actively reaching out to local stockists like IGAs and gourmet grocers to expand B2B sales.

Task & responsibilities

Factory Outlet Leadership & Team Management:

• Lead, recruit, train, and roster store staff.
• Foster a positive, energetic team environment aligned with our brand values.

Customer Experience & Advisory:

• Deliver outstanding service and create welcoming tasting experiences.
• Advise customers on food allergens, product ingredients, dietary suitability, and proper storage guidelines to ensure product quality and safety.

Sales, B2B Engagement & Pricing:

• Drive retail store sales targets and collaborate on local promotions and seasonal releases (e.g., Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day).
• Proactively and regularly contact wholesale partners and prospective retail accounts—such as IGAs, local boutique grocery stores, and specialty shops—to drive B2B sales and expand stockist outreach.
• Assist upper management in determining product pricing strategies based on market trends, seasonal demand, and margin goals.
• Maintain immaculate, alluring store presentation and stock displays.
• Assist Management in the opening of a new Chocolate Store in Sydney which is in the pipeline. 

Operations, Financials & Inventory Management:

• Maintain precise records of stock levels, inventory movements, wastage, and daily/monthly financial transactions.
• Undertake financial budgeting and cost management for the store establishment.
• Oversee opening/closing procedures, POS system maintenance, and strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.

Qualification & experience

Qualifications: Minimum Diploma or Higher Level Qualification

Experience: 1+ years of experience in retail store management, supervisory experience in gourmet food, specialty retail, or boutique hospitality is highly regarded.

Passion for Quality: A genuine enthusiasm for artisan food, handcrafted goods, and exceptional customer engagement.

Leadership Skills: Proven ability to coach, motivate, and manage a team to hit sales targets while keeping standards high.

Operational Expertise: Strong organization skills with hands-on experience in inventory management, rosters, POS systems, and store hygiene practices.

Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with a warm, welcoming presence.
