The Contract Administrator will be responsible for supporting the administration of construction contracts from tender and commencement through to completion and close-out. The role will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and clients to ensure contractual requirements, project documentation and commercial obligations are properly managed.

Task & responsibilities
- Manage and administer building contracts, subcontractor agreements and related project documentation.
- Review project scopes, agreements and supporting documents to ensure requirements are clearly understood and properly recorded.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, clients and project staff on contractual and project matters.
- Review and process progress claims, variations and extension-of-time requests in accordance with relevant agreements.
- Maintain contract registers, project records, correspondence, approvals and other documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate tender and subcontractor documentation, review submissions and prepare comparison information for management.
- Monitor key contractual dates, project obligations and deliverables and ensure matters requiring attention are followed up.
- Identify potential contractual and commercial risks and provide recommendations to management.
- Prepare correspondence, reports and documentation relating to project, commercial and contractual matters.
- Monitor required insurance, licences, approvals and other compliance documentation.
- Respond to queries from subcontractors, clients and consultants and coordinate the required information or resolution.
- Manage contract and project documentation through to completion, including final records, certificates, warranties and payment documentation.
Qualification & experience
- Relevant qualification in Law, Business, Project Management, Commerce or a related field.
- Good understanding of business documentation, agreements and administrative processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to read and understand agreements, project documentation and commercial information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general document-management systems.
- Ability to work independently while also coordinating effectively with project teams and external stakeholders.
- Previous experience in contract administration, project administration, commercial administration or a similar role will be highly regarded.
