Acorn timber flooring is seeking an experiance timber flooring carpenter with extensive experiance with sub floor preparation and installation of solid and hardwood flooring.

Task & responsibilities

● Prepare sub-floors by levelling, cleaning, and ensuring suitability for timber installation

● Install, lay, and fit all types of timber flooring including solid hardwood, engineered timber, parquetry,

and laminate

● Sand, polish, stain, seal, and finish timber floors to a high standard

● Repair and restore existing timber floors including replacement of damaged boards

● Read and interpret technical plans, drawings, and specifications

● Select appropriate materials, adhesives, and finishes for each project

● Operate and maintain tools and equipment including floor sanders, nail guns, and power saws

● Comply with all Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) regulations and site requirements

● Liaise with clients, site supervisors, and other tradespeople on project requirements

● Ensure quality of work meets company standards and client expectations

● Complete work within agreed timeframes.

Qualification & experience

Certificate III in Carpentry/Apprentice desireable
