DUTIES

●    Construct and install framework, walls, floors, roofs, and other structures using wood, metal, and other materials.

●    Build and install cabinets, furniture, and other custom woodwork according to specifications.

●    Cut, shape, and assemble materials using hand and power tools.

●    Repair or replace damaged frameworks, floors, and other structures.

●    Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

●    Perform routine inspections to ensure structures are safe and up to code.

●    Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine project specifications and requirements.

●    Estimate material and labor costs for projects and assist in project budgeting.

●    Provide recommendations and advice on materials and design options.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

●    Manage and oversee carpentry projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

●    Ensure the quality of work meets company standards and client expectations.

●    Coordinate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure seamless project execution.

●    Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

●    Maintain clear and effective communication with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on project progress.

●    Manage inventory of materials and tools, ensuring they are available when needed.

●    Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the construction process.

Qualification & experience

Qualifications and Experience

●    Completion of a Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification.

●    Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.

●    A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in carpentry.

●    Experience in residential and commercial construction projects preferred.

●    Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and tools.

●    Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.

●    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

●    Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.

●    Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
