We are seeking a skilled cook to join our team at Bani's Restaurant & Bar in Cowes.

Located at 10 Thompson Ave, Cowes, our Restaurant is a well-established eating place in Cowes. We take pride in providing exceptional food and service to our customers.

We would prefer applicants with a minimum of three years of experience in Greek Cuisine in our fast-paced kitchen, showcasing their skills and creativity.

Requirements:

1. Trade Qualification of Certificate III OR IV in Commercial Cookery or higher
2. Proven experience as a Cook (minimum 3 years preferred), experience in a similar cuisine(Greek) is preferred
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple orders
4. Have a passion for cooking
5. Be able to organise production schedules
6. Have knowledge of Food Handling and Food Safety procedures
7. Able to work well under pressure

Tasks:

1. Preparing and cooking various food items as per the menu
2. Prepare daily production list
3. Planning menus
4. Estimate and manage stock levels, assist with ordering, and minimise food wastage
5. Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
6. Guiding and giving direction to other kitchen staff
7. Ensure that all recipes, food preparations, and presentations meet the business specifications and commitment to quality.
8. Ensure that all stations remain stocked before and during the working period.
9. Verify that other staff follow all recipes and portion servings correctly
10. Ensuring proper sanitisation of working stations, storage area and the entire kitchen area.
11. Places food and supplies orders as directed.
12. Train kitchen staff and junior staff.
13. Organise a kitchen meeting to discuss various problems and provide solutions
14. Managing staff levels in the kitchen area

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift (Thursday to Tuesday)- Servicing Hours 12 pm to 9 pm(1^st May to 25^th December each year)
• 8-hour shift (Wednesday to Tuesday)- Servicing Hours 12 pm to 9 pm (26^th Dec to 30^th April each year)
