About the Role

We are seeking a capable, dependable and experienced Full-Time Cook to join our kitchen team. This is an important role within our operation, requiring a cook who can prepare high-quality Vietnamese meals, maintain consistency during busy service periods and support the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen. The successful candidate will be required to work confidently in a fast-paced hospitality environment, follow established recipes and procedures, and contribute to maintaining the authentic flavours and standards our customers expect. Experience with Vietnamese cuisine is highly valued, as the role is essential to preserving the quality, presentation and reliability of our menu.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a range of Vietnamese dishes and selected Western menu items to the restaurant’s required standard.
• Ensure all meals are prepared consistently, efficiently and with attention to taste, presentation and portion control.
• Assist with daily kitchen operations, including preparation, cooking, plating and maintaining service flow during peak periods.
• Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering and minimise waste through effective food preparation and storage practices.
• Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen in accordance with food safety, infection control and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Work cooperatively with other kitchen and FOH staff and provide guidance to kitchen hands where required.

Key Requirements

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or the ability to comply with all relevant food safety requirements.
• At least 2 years of experience working as a cook in a busy restaurant, café or similar hospitality environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Vietnamese cooking techniques, ingredients, flavour profiles and menu preparation is highly regarded.
• Ability to work full-time hours, including busy service periods, and remain organised under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, reliability, attention to detail and a genuine commitment to food quality.
