Kurmas Pty Ltd Trading as Mosaic Restaurant is seeking an experienced Chef with strong expertise in authentic Lebanese and Middle Eastern cuisine to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality Lebanese dishes, maintaining food quality standards, supervising kitchen operations, and contributing to menu development. Task & responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present authentic Lebanese, Turkish and Middle Eastern dishes to a high standard.
• Plan and develop menus featuring traditional Lebanese,Turkish and Middle Eastern cuisine.
• Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all meals.
• Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during service.
• Monitor food preparation and portion control.
• Order, receive and manage stock and kitchen supplies.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.
• Minimise food wastage and assist with cost control measures.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff where required.
• ability to perform in both hot kitchen and bakery/pastry section 

Qualification & experience

• Relevant qualification in Cookery or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum of one year of recent experience working as a Chef specialising in Middle Eastern ,Lebanese and Turkish dishes.
• Demonstrated experience preparing authentic Lebanese, Turkish and  Middle Eastern cuisine.
• Strong knowledge of Lebanese, Turkish and Middle Eastern ingredients, spices, cooking methods and traditional recipes.
• Experience in menu planning, stock control and kitchen management.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
• knowledge of traditional Lebanese and Middle Eastern and Turkish pastries
• Recent Work experience as a hands-on Chef across both the hot kitchen and bakery/pastry section
