Key Responsibilities
- Plan menus in consultation with management
- Prepare and cook food to a consistently high standard
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during service
- Monitor food preparation, presentation and portion control
- Order food and kitchen supplies as required
- Assist with stock control, food costing and minimising wastage
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
About You
To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:
- A relevant trade qualification as a Chef, or equivalent relevant experience
- Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen, preferably within the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to work effectively under pressure
- Experience supervising or leading a small kitchen team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
Please note that this is not a FIFO position. Applicants must be based in, or willing to relocate to, the South West region of Western Australia.
This is a long-term position, and we are seeking applicants who are genuinely looking to commit to the role on an ongoing basis.
