We are seeking an experienced and motivated Store Manager to manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of our retail store. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient store operations, maintaining appropriate stock levels and service standards, supervising staff, monitoring financial performance, and delivering a high standard of customer service.

Task & responsibilities

• Organise and control the day-to-day operations of the retail store.
• Determine appropriate product mix, stock levels and customer service standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate the ordering and purchasing of stock.
• Develop and implement purchasing, pricing, marketing and promotional activities.
• Monitor sales performance and maintain records of stock levels and financial transactions.
• Prepare and monitor store budgets, expenses and operational costs.
• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers regarding products, pricing and stock requirements.
• Recruit, train, roster, supervise and support retail staff.
• Allocate duties and monitor staff performance to maintain efficient store operations.
• Ensure customers receive a high standard of service and appropriately address customer enquiries and complaints.
• Monitor product presentation, merchandising and promotional displays.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales, customer service and overall store performance.
• Ensure the store complies with workplace health and safety requirements and relevant operational procedures.

Qualification & experience

• A relevant AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma, or equivalent qualification; or
• At least 1 year of relevant retail management experience.
• Demonstrated experience in managing or supervising retail operations.
• Experience in stock control, purchasing, budgeting and sales monitoring.
• Strong staff supervision, leadership and organisational skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a busy retail environment.
• Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
