We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will undertake a range of carpentry work across residential construction projects, including framing, fit-outs, installations and finishing works, ensuring high quality workmanship and compliance with project requirements.

Task & responsibilities

• Read and interpret building plans, drawings and specifications.
• Measure, mark, cut and assemble timber and other building materials.
• Construct and install wall frames, roof structures, doors, windows and other timber components.
• Perform rough carpentry and structural framing works in residential construction projects.
• Install internal fittings, skirting boards, architraves, doors and other finish carpentry items.
• Carry out renovations, extensions and repair works as required.
• Use hand tools, power tools and carpentry equipment safely and effectively.
• Check measurements, levels and alignment to ensure accurate installation.
• Inspect completed carpentry work and rectify defects or finishing issues.
• Coordinate with other trades and construction team members to maintain project schedules.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Follow building standards, project specifications and workplace health and safety requirements.

Qualification & experience

• Relevant qualification in Carpentry or a related trade.
• Proven experience as a Carpenter, preferably in residential construction.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, timber framing and building construction.
• Ability to read and interpret building plans, drawings and specifications.
• Competent use of hand tools, power tools and carpentry equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team.
• Good time management and ability to meet project deadlines.
