Key Responsibilities

The Architectural Draftsperson will be responsible for:

• Assisting Construction Managers, Architects, and Surveyors with project planning, coordination, and scheduling activities.
• Preparing, reviewing, and revising architectural drawings, sketches, plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Producing accurate drafting documentation using architectural design software in accordance with project requirements.
• Interpreting building regulations, Australian Standards, planning controls, and construction codes to ensure design compliance.
• Coordinating with clients, consultants, and construction teams to support project delivery and design implementation.
• Conducting site inspections and reviewing materials and completed works to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Collecting and analysing site measurements, survey information, and project data to support design development.
• Assisting in estimating project costs, material quantities, construction timelines, and resource requirements.
• Maintaining accurate project records and updating draft documentation as required throughout project stages.
• Supporting the successful delivery of residential building projects through effective technical drafting and documentation.

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

• AQF Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Associate Degree in Architectural Drafting, Building Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience as an Architectural Draftsperson.
• Proficiency in architectural drafting and design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, or equivalent.
• Ability to read, interpret, create, and modify architectural drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Sound understanding of Australian building regulations, construction standards, and residential design requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transport.
• White Card (Construction Induction Card) desirable but not essential.
