The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mechanical engineering and project support across the planning, design, execution and delivery of engineering projects.

Task & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review and implement mechanical engineering designs, drawings and technical specifications.
• Plan, coordinate and manage engineering projects from concept through to completion.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, project documentation and specifications.
• Review project requirements and develop practical engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered effectively.
• Monitor project progress, costs, quality and timelines.
• Provide technical advice and engineering support during project execution.
• Review engineering drawings and ensure designs comply with relevant Australian Standards and applicable legislation.
• Assist with procurement, equipment selection and evaluation of technical proposals.
• Identify and resolve technical and engineering issues arising during projects.
• Participate in site inspections and provide engineering support where required.
• Ensure engineering activities are undertaken in accordance with company procedures, safety requirements and quality standards.

Qualification & experience

Skills and Experience

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in mechanical engineering and/or project engineering.
• Experience in project planning, coordination and delivery.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and project documentation.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
• Ability to prepare technical reports, calculations and engineering documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, workplace health and safety requirements and engineering practices.
• 1- 2 years of Experience working on industrial, mining, engineering, construction or related projects.
• Experience coordinating contractors, suppliers and project stakeholders.
• Proficiency with relevant engineering design and project management software
