Task & responsibilities
- Support the setup and organisation of learning resources, play materials, and equipment for children’s educational and recreational activities.
- Encourage positive behaviour and assist children in developing social skills and emotional awareness.
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities and curriculum that promote learning, creativity, and physical development.
- Engage children through storytelling, reading sessions, games, and other interactive experiences.
- Monitor and guide children during indoor and outdoor play to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
- Oversee children’s daily routines, including mealtimes, rest periods, transitions, and group activities.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, assisting children with personal care as needed.
- Provide nurturing supervision in settings such as long day care, occasional care, hospitals, and educational environments, while adhering to required licensing or registration standards.
Qualification & experience
To join the team at Greenleaf Early Learning you will require:
- Minimum AQF Certificate III.
- At least 1 years’ experience as a child care worker in long day care, including assisting with programming and setting up stimulating learning environments.
- A current First Aid
- Working with Children Check WWCC.
