Responsibilities:

•    Fabrication, assembly and repair of plastic components including HDPE, PVC, PVDF

•    Perform various types of pipeline welds including Butt, Socket, and Extrusion

•    Flat plastics fabrication including sheet bending, hot air and extrusion welding

•    Interpret technical drawings, specifications and job sheets

•    Loading/unloading and setting up poly-welding machines and ancillary equipment and materials

•    Operate equipment and machinery to enable various types of welds

•    Maintain welding equipment and a clean and safe work environment

•    Installation, testing, and commissioning of pumps and piping systems

•    Pressure Testing pipelines

•    Driving to/from and within remote mining sites

•    Complete Pre-start checklists, JHA’s and Take 5’s in accordance with Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures. 

•    Complete Daily Works Records allocating time and equipment used during the day for client approval.

•    Collaborate with production supervisors and project teams to meet deadlines

•    Ensuring they present for work in a fit manner, not affected by fatigue, drugs, alcohol or the effects of a second job

Experience requirements:

•    Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role

•    Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Test

•    National Police Clearance (within the last 30 days)

•    WA Drivers License (LR and above)

•    Construction White Card (WA)

•    Welding Qualifications – Butt Weld - (PMBWELDS01A/PMBWELD301E)

•    Welding Qualification - Electrofusion - (PMBWELD302E / PMBWELD302D)

•    Welding Qualification - Extrusion - (PMBWELD309E)

•    Socket and butt welding experience and experience with install/welding pipelines in and around mills

•    Understanding of dewatering and pipework systems within the mining industry

•    Demonstrated understanding of chainsaw operations and ticket or willingness to obtain course ticket with valid experience - Preferred (AHCMOM213)

•    License to Perform High Risk Work – Forklift, Rigging and dogging, crane.
