Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the Formwork Carpenter is responsible for setting out, constructing, erecting and stripping formwork for concrete structures in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications and Australian construction standards. This is a full-time, permanent position based on the company's Perth-area project sites. The successful candidate will bring hands-on formwork expertise, sound knowledge of construction methods and a strong commitment to safety and quality, contributing directly to the successful delivery of our projects.
Work locations may vary depending on project requirements, and the role may involve working across different construction sites as directed by the employer.

• Building, installing, and dismantling formwork for concrete structures such as foundations, walls, columns, beams, and slabs
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans, and specifications
• Setting out, aligning, bracing, and levelling formwork to meet engineering and safety standards
• Cutting, shaping, and assembling timber, plywood, and other materials for formwork systems
• Safely stripping formwork while maintaining the integrity of concrete structures
• Measuring and marking materials accurately using appropriate tools
• Installing temporary supports, structures, and safety barriers as required
• Operating hand tools, power tools, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Maintaining and repairing formwork systems and timber components
• Complying with WHS requirements, building codes, and company procedures
• Relevant trade qualification (Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as a Formwork Carpenter
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications
• Construction Induction (White Card) required
• Sound knowledge of formwork systems, concrete construction methods and site safety requirements
• Ability to measure, cut, assemble and erect timber and proprietary formwork systems
• Ability to set out formwork to correct levels, lines and dimensions in accordance with design specifications
• Physically fit, reliable, safety-focused and able to work effectively as part of a team
