Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing and maintaining motor vehicles and their mechanical components.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Examine engines and vehicle components to identify malfunctions and faults.
• Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems and related components for inspection.
• Conduct thorough checks and inspections of mechanical components.
• Repair or replace worn or faulty parts using appropriate tools and service manuals.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance and servicing to maintain vehicle performance and reliability.
• Reassemble repaired components and engine assemblies.
• Test and fine-tune mechanical components after repairs to ensure optimal functionality.
• Use computer diagnostic equipment to assist with fault diagnosis and testing.
• Conduct vehicle inspections where required and identify repairs necessary to meet roadworthiness and safety requirements.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and follow workplace health and safety procedures.

Skills and Experience

• Relevant qualification in a relevant or similar field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience as a Motor Mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of motor vehicle mechanical systems and components.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical faults.
• Ability to use mechanical tools and computer diagnostic equipment.
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to quality workmanship and customer service.

Salary

$75,000 – $85,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
