Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer you will be undertaking the following duties:

• To consult with users to determine their requirements in relation to operational feasibility by evaluating problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
• To research, design, write, modify software, software applications and systems using various software development methodologies. 
• To test and improve software applications and systems through the testing, debugging, diagnosing and correcting of errors and faults within established protocols and guidelines.
• To undertake the development, testing, installation and modification of operating systems, utilities and other software and also integrating existing software products and getting incompatible platforms to work together.
• Managing the software development lifecycle and monitoring system performance.
• To create technical specifications, writing systems to control the scheduling of jobs or to control the access allowed to users or remote systems writing operational documentation with technical authors.
• Managing the software development lifecycle and monitoring system performance.
• Involve in research to help design/enhance the cellular chipset to ensure compliance with 3GPP standards and DG11/TS11 specifications.
• Working on new feature releases and advanced wireless technologies (UMTS/LTE/5G/6G) identifying the implementation of end-to-end solutions
• Understanding Mobile network infrastructures, design verification plan, develop use cases, create and review the test play. 
• To perform early evaluation of Prototypes and HW Systems on different wireless technologies flashing the software to perform Basic Sanity, Functional, Performance metrics, Focused, User Centric validation.

The position will report to the Director.

The job will be full time, with hours to be worked between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday.

Successful applicants must have:

Qualifications: 

Relevant bachelor's degree in engineering or information technology, or equivalent employment experience.

Skills: 

• Advanced wireless technologies (UMTS/LTE/5G). 
• Ability to lead and work with a cross functional team. Help design/enhance the cellular chipset. 
• Provide support to the development team in issue debugging activities for automated testing and deployment.

  Sufficient experience in field design engineering and advanced wireless technologies (UMTS/LTE/5G)-UE's protocol stacks.

Experience: 

5 years of work experience in relevant field may substitute for formal qualification.
