About the Role
Newcastle Demolition is seeking an experienced and highly capable Site Area Manager to oversee multiple demolition projects simultaneously. This role requires strong leadership, operational control, and client-facing skills to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

You will be responsible for managing several sites at once, coordinating crews, plant, and subcontractors, while maintaining high standards across safety, compliance, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage multiple demolition sites concurrently

• Coordinate site supervisors, leading hands, and labour crews

• Plan and schedule works, plant, and logistics across all active projects

• Liaise directly with clients, builders, and stakeholders

• Ensure all works comply with SafeWork NSW requirements and project specifications

• Monitor project budgets, productivity, and timelines

• Identify and manage risks, variations, and site constraints

• Maintain site documentation (SWMS, DMPs, reports)

• Drive a strong safety culture across all sites

Requirements

• Proven experience in demolition and civil construction management

• Experience managing multiple sites/projects simultaneously

• Strong understanding of demolition methodologies and sequencing

• Excellent client communication and stakeholder management skills

• Solid knowledge of WHS legislation and SafeWork NSW requirements

• Ability to lead teams and maintain productivity under pressure

• Competent in project planning, reporting, and cost control

Preferred

• Demolition Supervisor Licence (or ability to obtain)

• Experience with asbestos and hazardous material removal projects

• Machinery/plant knowledge (excavators, attachments, logistics)

• Civil projects from start to finish.
