Rockvalley Dairies, located in Tinamba, Victoria 3859, is dedicated to producing high-quality milk while maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare, sustainability, and innovation. We are currently looking for two Dairy Cattle Farm Operators to join our excellent team. We have a supportive work environment with opportunities for skill development.

Job responsibilities 

• Operate milking equipment and the facility
• Monitor equipment for irregularities and report issues promptly
• Operating farm machinery, including measuring equipment and computerised systems as needed
• Operate within specified rules to identify solutions and make sound decisions
• Cleaning and maintaining farm infrastructure and equipment, with basic repairs as needed
• Accurately record data from instruments, including milk vat temperatures and cow numbers
• Support in farm processes such as machine repair, artificial insemination, fertiliser mix design
• Communicate effectively with the manager and other team members
• Has sound knowledge of workplace safety principles

What we are looking for

• Relevant qualifications and sound knowledge are preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and time management skills
• Physically fit due to the nature of the job
