Our client is a well-established business within the chemical distribution sector, supplying products across the Australian market with a strong focus on service, efficiency, and operational excellence.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Import / Supply Chain professional to join a fast-paced business where you’ll play a key role in managing supplier relationships, international shipping, stock replenishment, and end-to-end supply chain coordination.

Your new role
Reporting into leadership, you’ll be responsible for ensuring stock is ordered, shipped, and delivered efficiently to meet business and customer demand.
Your duties will include:

  • Managing supplier relationships and placing purchase orders for stock replenishment
  • End-to-end international shipping coordination from origin through to final delivery
  • Managing shipping documentation, import paperwork, and compliance requirements
  • Tracking shipments, monitoring delivery timelines, and proactively managing delays
  • Liaising with freight forwarders, logistics service providers, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Managing detention and shipping-related issues
  • Supporting stock availability and supply continuity across the business
  • Assisting internal teams with supply chain queries and operational support
  • Identifying process improvements and cost-saving opportunities across the supply chain

What you’ll need to succeed

  • 3–5+ years’ experience in imports, supply chain, procurement, or international logistics
  • Strong understanding of international shipping, freight forwarding, import documentation, and Incoterms
  • Experience working with freight forwarders / logistics providers
  • Strong ERP and Excel capability
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
