About you

You bring proven experience in accounts receivable, customer accounting or a similar role, supported by a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. You are highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and use your strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
You are a confident communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills, capable of working both independently and collaboratively.

About this role
Our Customer Accounting Specialists' manage the accounting processes related to our valued customers. Your primary objective will be to ensure accurate and timely customer billing, payments, and account reconciliations. The role also entails assisting with reconciliation, investigating refund escalations, and collaborating with various departments within our business.
About the key responsibilities
Account Reconciliations: Reconcile vendor and customer accounts regularly, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies between billing and payments.
Customer Inquiries: Respond to customer queries on accounts, invoices and payments, delivering prompt, professional service and resolving issues efficiently.

Refund Processing: Manage customer refunds across multiple payment platforms, ensuring accurate and timely processing and allocation to accounts.
Systems Usage: Utilise Travel Operations, GDS, the Webjet Admin site and supplier platforms in daily tasks.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as a key contact for account-related matters.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline customer accounting activities.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal controls and regulatory requirements, including PCI.
Collaboration: Partner with Customer Operations, Finance and Technology teams to resolve issues, improve processes and support revenue outcomes.
