Task & responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and overall direction to the organisation, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, growth targets, and long-term business sustainability.
- Develop, implement, and monitor high-level business strategies, operational frameworks, and corporate policies to drive organisational performance and profitability.
- Oversee financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting to ensure strong fiscal governance and compliance with Australian regulatory requirements.
- Lead and manage senior management teams across multiple departments, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities, including market expansion, strategic partnerships, and diversification initiatives within the Australian market.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Australian legislation, industry regulations, and corporate governance standards.
- Represent the organisation in high-level negotiations, stakeholder engagements, and external business forums, strengthening corporate relationships and brand positioning.
- Monitor operational performance through key performance indicators (KPIs), implementing corrective actions where necessary to achieve strategic outcomes.
- Oversee risk management strategies to safeguard organisational assets, reputation, and business continuity.
- Drive organisational change initiatives, ensuring effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and smooth implementation of new business processes or systems.
- Provide regular reports to the Board of Directors or shareholders regarding organisational performance, strategic initiatives, and future growth planning.
Qualification & experience
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Business Administration, Commerce, Management, Finance, or a closely related field. A Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent postgraduate qualification is highly regarded.
- A minimum of five years’ senior executive or general management experience in a corporate environment, demonstrating responsibility for strategic planning, financial oversight, and organisational leadership.
- Demonstrated expertise in corporate governance, financial management, budgeting, and regulatory compliance within the Australian business environment.
- Highly developed leadership, negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement high-level corporate strategies aligned with long-term organisational objectives.
- Experience managing risk, change management processes, and performance improvement initiatives at an executive level.
