Cook - Full Time 

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Cook to join our business on a full-time basis. This position will require the candidate to be available across a 7-day roster

In this role, you will take responsibility for rostering, menu planning; ordering and serve top quality food to patrons.

 

Key Responsibilities will include:

- Planning of menu items and liaising with the Restaurant Manger on costs/expenses

- Assisting with all aspects of food preparation

- Supervising kitchen staff and working collectively to meet restaurant demands

- Checking of kitchen inventory and ordering of supplies as required

- Estimating of all restaurant costs including food, labour and incidentals

- Mentoring and training of junior staff as required

- Monitoring of food preparation to ensure high standards are adhered to at all times

- Assisting the Head Chef in planning Staff Rosters

- Adhering to all OH&S regulations and regular updating of policies as required

Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a busy kitchen environment

- Certificate IV or higher in commercial cooking

- Expertise in the hospitality sector

- Superior customer service focus

- Exceptional communication skills and ability to liaise with a diverse clientele

- Flexible, adaptable and ability to work weekdays and weekends

- Well-presented and professional

- Ability to work effectively under pressure

- Team player with a can-do attitude who can also work effectively unsupervised

- Understanding of OH&S and food hygiene requirements

Salary Range: $73,000 - $80,000 (Commensuration with experience)
