Hunky Dory is on the lookout for a dedicated full-time Cook to join our vibrant kitchen team. The ideal candidate will craft and serve dishes that align with our signature recipes and quality standards. This role involves in maintaining top-tier food safety, consistency, and speed in a dynamic, fast-paced culinary setting.

Task & responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking food, seasoning and portioning dishes as per Hunky Dory menu.
• Preparing ingredients as per the Chef Instructions and requirement on a daily basis.
• Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality.
• Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment during cooking.
• Seasoning food during cooking. 
• Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes.
• Storing food in temperature controlled facilities to ensure ingredients are stored appropriately.
• Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements as per customer request. 
• Will be required to assist the chef with menus and estimate food requirements. 
• Will be required to train any junior staff and monitor the kitchen hand as required.

Qualification & experience

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Cook working in a similar kitchen environment as Hunky Dory.
• Relevant diploma qualification/s. 
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.    
• Good communication skills.    
• Time Management.  
• Ability to train and monitor junior kitchen staff.
