Tasks & Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with our menu and standards.
• Assist in developing and planning menus, including estimating food and labor costs.
• Supervise and train junior kitchen staff and ensure all team members adhere to kitchen standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all food preparation and storage areas, in line with food safety regulations.
• Manage food stock levels and assist with inventory control and ordering.
• Ensure compliance with food handling, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Qualifications & Experience

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (highly preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a chef in a commercial kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
• Flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
