About the role

Join the dynamic team at Empowered Living Services as an complex mental health NDIS support worker. In this contract, part time or full time position, you will play a crucial role in providing personalised care and support to participants located in Dooonside. As a key member of our compassionate team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our clients while enjoying the flexibility of contract work with potential to move to permanent full time.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

• Facilitating community access and engagement to support clients' independence and social inclusion

• Implementing individualised support plans to address clients' unique needs and goals

• Collaborating with allied health professionals and family members to ensure holistic, person-centred care

• Maintaining detailed client records and documentation in line with NDIS requirements

• Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure the wellbeing of clients

What we're looking for

• Relevant Certificate III or IV qualification in Disability, Aged Care, or Community Services preferred

• Previous experience providing support to individuals with complex needs mental health experience is essential

• Minimum of 1 year experience providing support to individuals with disabilities or complex needs is required

• Ability to manage Medication

• Assistance with self care

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients

• Empathetic, patient, and adaptable approach to working with diverse client needs

• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team

• Proficient in documentation and report writing

• Current First Aid certification and a valid driver's licence

• Australian work rights are required for this position

• Both NDIS Worker Check and Working with Children Check are required
