  • Work with Sydney Water’s Delivery Contractors to develop and implement community engagement plans to engage impacted stakeholders, communities and customers.
  • Work in multi-disciplinary project teams and liaise day-to-day with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and participate in continual improvement.
  • Use your judgement and initiative to progress community and landowner engagement matters, knowing when to escalate issues to the Community & Stakeholder Engagement Manager.
  • Develop your consultancy and project management skills, in line with Jacobs Global Career Framework. This role translates to a Senior Consultant role, in the Jacobs Career Framework.
  • Be open to working in a range of locations including project sites, the Parramatta office and home, depending on stakeholder and community requirements.

Here's what you'll need

  • Relevant community and stakeholder engagement experience,
  • Training in or a clear understanding of IAP2 (International Association of Public Participation) principles.

  • Previous experience delivering communications and engagement on infrastructure projects, preferably in the water sector and the construction/delivery phase of a project.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and high levels of emotional intelligence and empathy.
  • Strong organisational, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • A ‘can do’ attitude with an interest in continuous learning and improvement.
  • Full driver’s licence, as the role will involve driving to sites in Western Sydney.
