The Role
We are seeking a highly capable multi-skilled service technician to join our expanding team. This is a hands-on, field-based role working across a variety of commercial and industrial sites.
You will be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, performing installations, and ensuring systems are operating safely and efficiently with minimal disruption to our clients.
In addition, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to improving internal processes, system reliability, and overall service delivery as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair faults across mechanical, electrical, and gas systems
- Carry out installation and commissioning of hot water systems, pipework, and associated plant
- Perform planned preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown response
- Work on pumps, motors, control systems, valves, and pipework assemblies
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and system layouts
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with relevant standards
- Communicate clearly with clients on-site and represent the business professionally
- Work independently or as part of a team in time-critical environments
- Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, reduce downtime, and enhance performance
About You
We are looking for someone who is practical, reliable, and confident working in fast-paced commercial environments.
You will ideally have:
- Strong experience in field service, maintenance, or industrial engineering
- Proven ability in fault finding across electrical and mechanical systems
- Experience working with pipework, pumps, valves, and pressurised systems
- Knowledge of steam, hot water, or gas systems (highly desirable)
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload on-site
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude
- Experience working under pressure with a focus on safety and quality
