We are seeking a qualified and experienced Commerce and Geography Teacher to join our dedicated Social Science Department.

Task & responsibilities

• differentiate curriculum to meet the needs of learners
• use a variety of teaching methods including incorporating technology into learning
• create an engaging and positive learning environment the contributes to the overall school philosophy of the school
• maintains effective communication with the Head of Department and Learning Enrichment Department regarding the special needs of individual students
• ensures appropriate standards in classroom management are maintained 
• keeps appropriate and up to date records of courses and programs 
• develop appropriate assessment procedures and models of reporting in line with the Teaching and Learning Framework 
• provide timely, detailed and consistent feedback to students regarding their learning
• actively participate in co-curricular activities, school camps, awards nights and parent teacher  interviews 

Qualification & experience

Valid NESA Accreditation to teach in NSW

A valid NSW Working with Children Check

A minimum of one year experience in a similar role  

A minimum Bachelor's Degree and or a relevant teaching qualification

Demonstrated knowledge of  the subject areas, syllabus documents and methods of teaching and learning
